Who are we?
Joy7 Foundation
Joy7 Foundation, established in 2004, is a community-based non-governmental organization (NGO) headquartered in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and is empanelled as a Project Implementing Agency (PIA) with the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalaya Yojna (DDU-GKY).
Since its inception, Joy7 Foundation has worked with a clear vision to empower communities through education, health, livelihood, skill development, and cultural identity preservation. The Foundation’s work spans urban and rural regions of Arunachal Pradesh and the Northeastern states, impacting thousands of lives through people-driven initiatives and sustainable interventions.
Joy7 Foundation’s approach is built on the principle that lasting social change happens when communities participate, lead, and sustain their own growth. History & Growth
Joy7 Foundation was founded by a group of motivated professionals, social workers, and educators who shared a common dream — to make development more inclusive, meaningful, and community-led. Starting with small awareness programs in the early 2000s, the Foundation has gradually evolved into a recognized platform for social transformation. Over the last two decades, Joy7 has implemented and supported initiatives such as Financial Literacy Programs in collaboration with the Reserve Bank of India Department of Economic Affairs (RBI–DEA) Skill Development & Livelihood Projects under DDU-GKY and NSDC-linked initiatives Road Safety Awareness Campaigns in partnership with state transport departments and educational institutions Youth Empowerment & Motivation Workshops for students, police trainees, and community leaders Health & Sanitation Drives in rural areas with focus on preventive health and hygiene Cultural Exchange & Indigenous Knowledge Programs highlighting local heritage and traditional craftsmanship Digital Literacy Projects promoting online safety, entrepreneurship, and e-governance participation Each initiative has helped Joy7 Foundation expand its footprint and deepen its relationship with local communities, government departments, and development partners.
